Bare & Insulated Conductors & Hookup Wire - Knight Group

Bare & Insulated Conductors & Hookup Wire

We supply high-quality wire suitable for low voltage applications for electronic equipment and electrical hook up circuit work.

Our enamelled copper wire, also known as magnet wire, is a coated wire with a thin layer of insulation that makes it suitable for use in transformers, motors, inductors, hard disk actuators, speakers, electromagnets and other electrical applications where insulated wires are tightly coiled.

Enamelled copper has a number of advantages including:

  • Easily solderable
  • High electrical conductivity which improves energy efficiency
  • Wide range of dimensions, varnish grades and thermal classifications for various applications
  • High heat resistance and resistance to solvents, oils and mechanical stress
  • Meets standards for International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC)

We are also able to supply aluminium or copper Armature Wire for use on motors and other electrical applications. Copper armature wiring improves electrical efficiency due to its higher electrical conductivity properties. Aluminium armature wiring is lighter and less expensive than copper.

Our wide variety of wires materials include:

Bare copper
Tinned copper

  • Enamelled copper, solderable grade 2
  • Brass
  • Phosphor bronze
  • Nickel chrome

Insulation materials include:

  • Low and high density polythene
  • PVC
  • Polyurethane
